I'm currently sitting in a mostly empty classroom, typing away at a computer terminal. Not eating lunch like everyone else, or finishing that last report that my teacher said I could bring tomorow morning, if I felt like it. I'm sitting here and typing.
Is it because I hate this damn place? Probly. I didn't want to come today. No point. I haven't done a single thing in any one of my classes. Just sat there. Except, last period, someone wanted me to sign their shirt. I don't think she's ever talked to me in the last 4 years of highschool. But she wants my signature on her shirt. I said "Whatever you do, rember to have fun". Yeah. I need to take some of my own advice. The bell is going to ring in a few seconds and shuffle the sheep off to their next class. Maybe I'll learn what's on my final exam. Do I really give a shit? Nope. Have I studied for anything, the whole time I've been here? Hell no, and I sure ain't gona start now. At least it's over with, in two hours.

A followup on my recent bitch about USB Keys.

I bought a lexar JumpDrive. Mmkay.

Ever since floppy drives stopped existing, I've needed a way to move small piles of files from point A to point B. Burning a CD doesn't always cut it. I mean, they don't have CD burners at school. So, I went to the store and bought a DiskOnKey Pro. Had it for a couple days.....works great for taking those small files from home to school and school to home. Until I tried to mount it on the PC at school today. It would have worked perfectly, HAD IT BEEN THERE. The stupid thing broke off my keychain. I've heard it's a good thing. But, then again. I wouldn't really know. Would I?

Heh. I tried to take a nap last night before getting some stuff I needed to do done. Hah. Big help that was. I laid in bed for three hours waiting for my allarm to ring. When it did, I yelled at it, got up, and did the stupid work. Or at least some of it. Then I gave up at 4AM, knowing I had to be out and about only four and a half hours later. Fucking sleep. Not only do I have "5,000 tunes in my pocket" But, by just carying the device, which is only slightly larger than a pack of cigerettes....my music plays however I want. Headphones when I'm moving. The iTrip (which I'll review later), or the iPod Dock to play into my stereo. I could just use my computer to do that, but that'd be FAR too simple.

About the device itself:

My major disipointment is in the case. Not the way it looks....it is by far one of the most elegant products I've ever seen. Smooth. Sleek. Simple. And bright orangeish LEDs that are going to be the new fad. So much slicker than blue...because they're diffrent. My problem with the case is that it scratches REALLY easy. Scraches just from being in my pocket. Not big scratches, or anything. But it's covered in a spiderweb of tiny marks. It's gona live in the protective case I got for it. Sound quality is great. No complaints there. The quality goes way beyond where you hit your head on the MP3s, so, If you feel like it, rip in Apple Lossless, and it'll probly sound BETTER than your average walkman.
I gota say, I think I'm in LOVE with the headphones. Seriously. Smoth, simple, sound good. But, the next person who says I look like an iPod ad, I might kill someone.
The software on it is pretty good. Seems like the hardware might not be quite fast enough to run the OS on the thing. When the menus slide off the screen, sometimes they skip, same with switching between volume/position/rating sliders. Maybe they'll fix that in v2.3 of the firmware. Either way...Killer device.
